The Supporting Association  E-mail
When the Danish friends of Nassanga Florence visited the school in 1997 it was evident that the Sct. Olivia School had financial issues. This led to the idea of creating a supporting members association.
The statutory general meeting took place the 25th October 1998.
The daily operation of the Sct. Olivia School is driven by student school money only! The funds from 'Sct. Olviaskolens Venner' has been used in financing the purchase of the school property, requisiton of teaching materials and furniture and gradually constructing school buildings, toilets and a water tank.
In 1996 the teaching of students was in a wooden house only partly covered by a roof. Since then brick wall classrooms has been and is being build. The materials are sundried and burned clay stones which are produced locally.
'Sct. Olviaskolens Venner' is regularly informed by the Sct. Olivia School management regarding the development in building and teaching, through photos, accounts, exam results and the likes.
Members of "Sct. Oliviaskolens Venner"'s board are: Helen Fuglsang (chairman), Birgit Løren (treasurer), Hanne Elmelund, Birthe Marie Strandgaard, Lise Antonsen, Erik Agergaard and Dorthe Haagen Larsen. John Madsen is substitute.
